We have collated some apps that are useful for managing self-harm

Calm Harm

Calm Harm is an app developed for teenagers by the mental health charity stem4 and by Dr Nihara Krause, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, using the basic principles of an evidence-based therapy called Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

Calm Harm provides tasks to help you resist or manage the urge to self-harm. You can make it private by setting a password and personalise the app if you so wish. You’ll be able to track your progress and notice change.

 

Self Heal

A free app to help with the management of self-harm. Includes distraction task suggestions, useful contacts, information on self-harm and a gallery of inspirational images.

 

DistrACT

The distrACT app gives you easy, quick and discreet access to information and advice about self-harm and suicidal thoughts.

The content has been created by doctors and experts in self-harm and suicide prevention.
