You have received this letter as you have not logged into Beating the Blues for a few weeks.
Some of the information
- The website can be accessed from any “internet enabled” device – so you may have registered on your smartphone when you received an email but have simply forgotten to return to it
- As such, you can complete parts of the website on a smartphone/tablet in chunks (10-15 mins) or
a session in one (less than an hour) go from a PC or laptop – whichever is most convenient for you - Should you be having any technical difficulties or any questions/concerns about the website and getting started on a certain device please do not hesitate to contact us over the next few weeks.
- You do not need to put detailed information onto the website, we will only see the information you enter at the start of each session when we pass your progress back to your referrer when required
- The information you do enter only you will need to know what it means – but it will refer back to this and build on this each further session you complete and projects (“homework”) you can complete
- You may have already spent the time to set up your username and details, you do not have to do this again – however if you need a reminder of this or to reset your password, please contact us.
- Once you have completed the sign up process, you will see the option to ‘Start Course’.
This will open a new window in your browser and depending on your device load the first session.- On a mobile device (smartphone/tablet) you may be required to “rotate your device” to landscape mode.
When viewing on a small screen device (i.e mobile) you can navigate with the ← or → on the right hand pane.
You may also need to wait until the audio is finished playing before you can navigate to the next screen.
(Some devices, such as Samsung phones and tablets may also need you to enable “desktop mode” depending on your browser.)
- On a mobile device (smartphone/tablet) you may be required to “rotate your device” to landscape mode.
- Later sessions encourage you to them break up as required to complete project/homework tasks, the priority is for you to learn the techniques and put them into practice as effectively as you find easiest
- You don’t need to do start the session on the same day each week, around one every few weeks is fine
(The average next sessions are completed around 10 days later, whenever is most convenient for you)
- Try not to “wait for the right time” to start each session, access is provided for you to start quickly.
- You can revisit any part of any session you have completed if you found it particularly helpful,
but it is important to move onto a new session to allow BtB to build on what you have learn to date - Most people take around 3-4 months at most to complete using the website to their satisfaction
- Approximately 4 weeks from the date of this letter we will close accounts and discharge people back to their referrer
- If you wish to access cCBT after this date, you will need to be re-referred by them
