Beating the Blues – Signing Up

Step by step guide to registering your Beating the Blues account

  1. You will have received an email around a day after confirming this with your referrer.
    The link in this email will enable you to register an account.
    Please contact us if not received, we can resend it or change the email address.
  2. Once you “clicked” on the link, you will be presented with a page to register your account – you can add, remove or edit any information here including after sign-up.
  3. Please choose a usernamewe recommend a nickname/pets name.
    Try and keep this short, one word if possible, to make logging in easier.
    Do not include your full name or email address in the username (i.e namesurname2000) as this can complicate logging in and resetting your password and also is not required for us to identify you.
  4. The password MUST include at least one symbol, UPPERCASE letter, lowercase letter and number.You do not have to change this for up to 90 days, but can reset this as required. Please contact us if you are having difficulty with this after registering, especially on a new/different device.
  5. After registering, if you have included your email address the website will email you to “confirm” your email address to link with your account. If you wish, this will enable website will be able to update you with your progress, remind you automatically to login and reset your password with a generated email link if required.
  6. Please do not change or delete the ‘Identification Code’ as we require this to locate you on our system – we do not need any other details from your sign up information to identify you. Use this code in any correspondence you have with us.
  7. If you wish to add a phone number we can use this if we need to contact you regarding your access to BtB, however we normally be provided one by your referrer.
  8. Once you have completed the sign up process, you will see the option to ‘Start Course’.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR MOBILE DEVICES:
    This will open a new window in your browser and depending on your device load the first session.On a mobile device (smartphone/tablet) you may be required to “rotate your device” to landscape mode. When viewing on a small screen device (i.e mobile) you can navigate with the or on the right hand pane. You may also need to wait until the audio is finished playing before you can navigate to the next screen. (Some devices, such as Samsung phones and tablets may also need you to enable “desktop mode” depending on your browser.)
  9. Before starting the treatment, you will need to “understand and agree” to both the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and ‘Privacy Policy’ and read a summary of three important notices due to the nature of the website.The website is entirely confidential, the only information your referrer will be sent are the scores to clinical questions are the start and end of each session – but please avoid recording any detailed or identifiable information. You will be given a short tour of the program before you can begin Session 1 and Module 1.1. As each Module takes 10-15 mins to complete, you may wish to take a short break before commencing. Sessions takes around 45 minutes on average to complete, aim to complete at least one every fortnight.

    If you are unable to start within a month from the date of the letter tou received, your activation code may expire.
